Top Side:
Much simpler board than the CFP. PCB is 2 layer, Analog to Digital, PIC and EMI filters are not present. Reduced circuit complexity, component count and layer count result in significant cost reduction. Hand routing with extensive GND compensate for loss of internal planes.

Without a processor providing shutdown logic analog circuits are required to control FET gate drive. At low input gate drive drops, input currents go up and the FET wants to burn. Important parameters for vehicle applications.

Bottom:
Much more space between parts than on the CFP! Careful attention was paid to GND and VIN circuits. Flyback regulators tend to be noisy making di/dt levels and paths critical.

Problems with di/dt can not be overemphasized. Complete high frequency isolation requires common mode chokes on both DC inputs and regulated outputs. The BB10-CO does not provide these chokes.
